The role of operations management is to transform a business’ inputs into goods or services for a customer. Inputs include human resources (such as employees and team managers), facilities and processes (such as equipment or physical locations), as well as materials, technology, and information. Outputs are the final product (goods or services) provided to an end user (customer).
